The thing to consider there is warranty, should you need it. I know Epson's warranty is considered pretty fantastic, but they'll only honor it if the product was purchased from an authorized dealer/reseller. Also, don't trust the seller in telling you if they are/not authorized, ask the manufacturer, i.e. Epson.
Another great source for Epson is their own refurbished category on their website. Often times a really great proj will come at a considerable discount, having the same 2 year warranty as new. I have one and have been using it for nearly 2 years now, not one issue with it and it came looking/performing like a brand new product.
