I actually love the Tesla, even setting aside its electric powertrain which is world class in terms of range and performance, its interior and especially its infotainment system are really modern and intuitive unlike any other car. I would own a Tesla Model S and be very happy with it.
But in this comparison, they may as well have used a 528i because the driver lost that race. You can clearly see towards the end of the run when the M5 finally hooks up and is in a proper gear, it's about to come sailing past the Tesla.
