Sheesh! I'd have to assume you've never had the opportunity to drive a good 2002tii, a first or second-generation M3, or even an E82 stick. All have better steering than anything made today by BMW. It's all about Dynamics!
There's no feedback like a well-sorted 2002tii driven at its limits, lifting wheels, and making the driver a better driver. And that goes for an E30 M3, too. I have fond memories of discovering that car—the very first we ever got—while driving it home the day it arrived. I'm happy to have had that experience and to remember it so clearly today. And yet every day I drive new BMWs as part of my job but it's the drive home in my 128i M-sport stick that puts a smile on my face. Different strokes.
