Similar to the M240i but my 228i 6MT RWD is an absolute blast in the winter with a proper set of winter tires. Ran Blizzaks which are great on snow but meh on dry. Now have Alpin PA4's as the reality of our winters is they are getting dryer and dryer and the full snow driving is decreasing so I'm willing to give up some snow performance for a better cold dry experience.

Obviously ground clearance might become an issue in larger accumulations but never had an issue in three Wisconsin winters. During one particular storm I recall waiting for the first round of plowing but that was a 20" snowfall. Very few were out in the roads that day.
