Even something as simple as an inappropriate joke with a colleague can be taken out of context and blown out of proportion by dash cam footage.
That's why you hardwire it to the battery so they cannot mess with it.

I deserve to know who what and where when it comes to my cars.

I always take a GPS photo of miles as I drop off for service.
