It's not just about launch. It's about torque vectoring and exit speed. An AWD car can carry more speed through a corner and out of it.
Porsche handicaps the Turbo S with Summer Tires (PS4S) while the GT3RS Cars get wider and grippier Sport Cups. Put them on the same tires and the Turbos will crush the GT cars anywhere.

Drivers matter too... Thats why I find these arguments useless. Its like someone in Colorado running a 1/4 slower because of air density vs. down in Florida and the Florida guy bragging unless they are the exact same cars with the exact same drivers and exact same conditions, not worth discussing
