I have the same rattle on my 2014 M5 Comp that has 100k miles.
I bought it used at 86k, has always been there and haven't noticed any issues.
Before reading this thread I also suspected the fly wheel because it is the same sound I had when I installed an aftermarket lightweight flywheel on my e36 m3. I think it is very common for the lightweight flywheels.
