Had mine done for $100 at a powder coating place. They did it with black Cerakote and it is supposed to withstand up to 2000*. I am overly cautious and asked if we could also wrap it with header wrap. They said not to because of moisture build up--this can cause the coating to crack or rust... So I just left it at ceramic coating. |
Yep. This. Non coated may have it's issues, but wrapped has issues as well. I decided ceramic was the best option for mine.
