I hear you, knowing that is definitely a part of the enjoyment. It also takes a different kind of person to buy an Alpina than, say, a flashy M car for the same money. And I like that. Although, we've got both so unsure where I stand.
pre-LCI G21 D3 S Touring. Arguably, the car that's got the least Alpina character in it being just a diesel, but it's still better in every way than the model it is based on (M340d) and I'm more than stoked.
Dealing with the company in case of an issue or a parts request is a PITA, though.
