Hope it goes well - if it's a default judgement, you should be able to just garnish his wages. Kind of a crappy thing to do but he wrong'ed you, putting himself in that position. I hope it all works out for you.
I don't get it though, why doesn't he just pay up and get this resolved instead of putting his credit in jeopardy?
