I think the B&O is a great sound system but this inconvenience has left a bad taste in my mouth. My wife's HK in her 13 ML 350 sounds almost just as good and I am yet to hear any distortion at all. In all of the vehicles I have owned I have never experienced a rattle like this. It's disconcerting considering this is the most money I have ever spent on a sound option. Yeah that's right. But the point is it is a defect not a design problem so you're right to replace the speakers. The only thing I'm not sure is whether issues such as yours arise from the parts, or how well the technician mounts the speaker.
