It's actually a 5 year model run for the F10 M5 and I agree super lame on their part. If I was in the mood to trade up my 2013 for a 2016 I'd rather get the new 2016 M6 Gran Coupe because it has upgraded headlights for the 2016 model year and such.
But yeah, the 2016 M5 will end production in October 2016 and that will be it. We will have to wait a year and half until the next M5 which I think will hit the streets as a 2018 M5.
