Same goes for the S63 which was BMW M's first official shot at a turbo engine, and it was pretty good already. The S63tu goes even further, is more responsive and revs as high as Merc's naturally aspirated 6.2l V8.

I didnt say that, I said that BMW doesnt know how to make high PERFORMANCE minded turbo engines, thats a fact. And M had ZERO to do with the N54, which by all measures was a disaster btw, just ask the untold masses how they feel about the years of living with the ever problem plagued HPFPs, that situation alone caused BMW to lose more than a few long time customers.

Again, to each their own, and time will tell, as a 30+ year continous owner of their vehicles Im beyond disappointed and no longer consider BMW to be what they once were in my eyes, which ultimately means that I will look at other auto makers when making future purchases. But as long as bmw has 2 new customers that like this philosphy vs the one that leaves due to it, im sure everyting will be just fine for you.
