You were right about the carbon fiber being less forgiving than black matte/gloss. There was one tab on the chrome piece that was a real PITA to remove from the black housing
I used the excess carbon fiber from the 'donut hole' in the chrome trim to wrap the chrome door handles (I hate waste). I'm not too sure if I like the handles yet, I'll have to see them in the sunlight.
