ISTA D or P won't work to swap DCT's (I tried it). You have to get a new TCU (part of the mechatronics unit) from BMW with the VIN coded so that the EWS recognizes it. Alternately you can swap the mechatronics unit.

As someone stated, easier to swap the clutch assembly than the DCT.... either way everything has to be removed.

Regarding turbo swap.... I don't have pictures, but here is the way:

1. Do the DP removal steps (there is a DIY for that)
2. Remove the turbo intake, inlets and charge pipes
3. Remove the upper water IN/OUT hoses
4. Remove the wastegate vacuum references
5. Remove top oil feed lines
6. Remove the heat-shield above behind alternator to gain easier access to the oil drain lines
7. Sometimes removing the alternator makes it easier, but not necessary
8. Remove the vband at turbine inlet and remove the turbos
9. Make sure to replace all the gaskets and oil feed/drain washers (don't want leaks with those)
10. Put everything back in reverse order
