Just had service done on mine - late production 2013 MY (Steel brakes) - SA did find the SIB...but told me my pads were not of the type indicated on the SIB
. So the squeaking was completely normal.
So...after NOT using the oil I asked them to use for the change
...they sent me on my way...I have had nothing but screaming brakes since then! They actually got worse!
To be fair...it's been single digits around here and I have not had a chance to "re-bed" them in - but SA reports only a test drive was done with a brake fluid change.
I've tried contacting SA for his response but so far it's been phone tag.
So...IMO SIB listed might help for a subset of y'all out there...but not for me. My brakes were bearable before...but they border on horrible (noise wise) now.
