Nah I don't think that combustion engines will be extinct in that time. I think that combustion engines will continue to evolve as technology gets more advanced. Look at the changes the combustion has been through over the last 40 to 50 years. We've gone from huge discplacement highly inefficient engines to turbo charged and supercharged monsters that make way more power and are way more efficient. I think it's just gonna get better.
I agree and dissagree with both statements. fully electric cars will never do well in the economy to the vast majority of ppl. if you live in say Tokyo and 85% of your yearly driving is in the busy city n u can plug it in at work n home then yes that will work.

now the combustion engine has come along way yes, from steam engines to high displacement engines to engines on todays standards. I believe that internal combustion engine will still be around in that 30-50 year's time but just used a lil differently like more advanced hybrids or in hydrogen fuel cell cars in later research.
