2016 M5 w/ replacement DCT, should I worry?

Hi Everyone,

I am looking at a 2016 M5 w/ competition package and approximately 30K miles. I am able to get a factory warranty, and would probably go for 72 mos/75K miles.

The car has full service records at a BMW dealer and I am having it inspected out of state in the next day or two. It looks to be in excellent condition.

The issue that my current BMW dealer brought up was related to a notation on the service records 400 miles from the in-service date regarding rough shifting and coasting issues. It seems that the transmission was replaced, and my dealer says there were no more reported issues over the course of time.

Should I be concerned purchasing this car considering the DCT replacement? I am not incredibly worried considering the factory warranty I would have, plus what seems to be a diligent single owner. My concern would be the faulty DCT may have caused some sort of underlying and yet to be discovered issue with a another component, like the differential or something else.

Thanks everyone for your insight!
