Correct when the pad with the sensor reaches 3mm the car will ask for replacements. The other pads will vary slightly due to pads wearing differently depending on their position on the car.



I had a look at the pads, BMW changed to the pad with the Weights/absorbers in about April 2014. The pads before that did not have them.
If you anyone had their pads changed since then on the earlier cars they would have the new pads
