Edit: Go to post #12 for dyno results (stock M5 transmission would not withstand Stage 2 power increase, went only Stage 1)
After shopping for quite some time, I made the decision to move beyond the currently installed DINAN piggy-back. I am scheduled to have baseline dynos and then a Stage 2, 93 octane tune installed by
Tuning Tech FS Monday, June 22, 2020. These are the
other BMW platforms they support.
I've heard great things about Frank Smith's shop. He has a vast amount of experience with the F10 M5 platform, many other platforms, and provides stellar post installation support.
I will document my experience with Tuning Tech FS (
http://tuningtechfs.com/) and report how everything goes. The following is what I am hoping to have done to document the performance and characteristics of each state of tune:
For fun, post how you expect the vehicle will dyno.
EXAMPLE
Dyno 1-2 Avg: Stock = xxx HP xxx FT-LBS
Dyno 3-4 Avg: DINAN STAGE 1 = xxx HP xxx FT-LBS
Dyno 5-6 Avg: DINAN STAGE 2 = xxx HP xxx FT-LBS
Dyno 7-8 Avg: Tuning Tech FS Stage 2 = xxx HP xxx FT-LBS
