Nice job Jeb80! Your exhaust tips look great now!

The previous owner of my vehicle cleaned and maintained most everything well (engine bay, door jams, trunk, wheels, interior carpet/leather and exterior paint). Unfortunately it appears they rarely, if ever, cleaned the standard quad exhaust tips.

For the past year I have tried to clean my exhaust tips with wheel cleaners, steel wool and even oven cleaner. Later, I even used the oven cleaner again after the tips were warmed to almost 200 F and allowed the cleaner to soak for ~15 minutes. You may be able to see from the pic on the bottom that the oven cleaner finally began to breakdown the exhaust residue. I am afraid I will scratch/damage the tips if I do this multiple more times. I am also afraid of the over spray from the oven cleaner damaging the rear diffuser's paint.

THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR ANY ADVICE!
