I'm wondering if I just use the oil that I have in it would that work to flush it? I'm about do for a change plus I was going to use 5w40 instead of 5w30 this time. What do you think? |
Yes keep your old oil in. Use the engine cleaner with old oil. Once you have done that drain the old oil and use some shitty oil to flush it out again. I kept my old filter in. Once I ran that in the car I let it run for ten minutes and then flushed it once more I used the oil that I normally put in the car 5w—40 liqui molly molecular and put a new filter in. Also I was using 5w30 but the oil consumption was horrible . Seems to like the 5-40 a lot more
