For this task, I used "Self-Adhesive contact paper." Plenty of places have it online. I ordered samples cuts (~$6 a piece) from designyourwall.com . The sample sizes I received provided enough material for many cars.

For my purposes, I ordered two blues and the brighter red. These are perfect matches for the M colors. I also ordered black as the primary cover cover. A charcoal would be better. Note: the camera pics from my phone make the contrast between the black and the interior color much stronger.

Once you have it, you need to use an exact-o knife and cut it into 2.25" x 7.375" sections. Then overlay whatever pattern you like.

Here is an example of the passenger side. I left the driver side in black only so as to not have too much "M".
