Its not about that, I enjoy washing my own cars. Plus personally I think I do a better job than an automatic carwash and probably a better job than some of the detailers out there.

If you have a car you don't care about, work truck or beater - sure use a car wash for convenience but never a nice car like an F10. |

Plus a waxed car (synthetic or natural) will shed dirt much much faster. Speeds up the wash and dry quite a bit. Well worth the time, otherwise pay someone to do it right. Bad paint means you wasted your money on an expensive car as it will look crappy. Defeats the purpose. |
