Adaptive LED replacement questions.
I recently had a Land Rover run over and throw a semi tire at my front end on the highway....sad day.
Bumper and grills broken but shattered my headlight lens on the RH side. Light still works perfectly, 2016 model. I have seen people on ebay you claim to replace and reseal the headlight assembly, any comments on this? I have been looking for just the assembly used for sale that I can put my lights and modules into, the numbers on the lights vary from some shown for sale even thought they look identical. I am leaning towards buying a used OEM assembly with a good lens, is there anything I should be looking for number wise? I would hate to spend upwards of 1k on an assembly only to find out something is not compatible. Thanks! |

Bit of a tall order with finding just the bare inner shell and front clear covering. Did you exchange insurance details with the LR chap as he caused the damage..

I did not. He didn't even stop. In West Texas not alot you can do about that on these heavily trafficked oil field roads. I've used a shop before that is reasonable for the paint on the bumper, I have extra carbon fiber grills. Just the headlight needs fixed and I don't want to risk my premium over it.
I would even go aftermarket, but most says they are not compatible with factory LED cars. Might have to bite the bullet on a used assembly for $1500 range. |

You may have too as even on my xenons I know there are 2 or 3 different internal designs. Have you a car cam fitted so you could get the incident with his licence plate?
