I'm new to the game, I just bought my M6 a month ago. What's the core issue here? Please don't tell me the residual N63 issues.

I believe this issue can cause engine hydrolock in some circumstances. The N54 engine had this issue for years but I do not recall many people blowing their engine. I also believe the N63 has this issue and not many people blow their engine but it can happen.
I remember reading around here some isolated issues. Here is a 13 I saw when browsing around that had it's whole engine and injectors replaced. |

Personally from reading around I think only USA cars has this issue as we have a lot of ethanol in our gas. Even shell gas has 10% ethanol used t be ethanol free.
You don't hear of this issue anywhere else in the UK or Canada. Also the X5M has been notorious for this. New injectors may help but they will likely suffer the same fate after x years/miles. Perhaps running some sort of fuel cleaner would benefit? Any thoughts on this guys? |

we all know the answer is a "maybe". It all comes down to what you have done to the car and how related it is to the part. You have aftermarket injectors, fuel pumps, throttle bodies, turbos, tuning that turns up the flow from said injectors etc...probably not. You have wheels and an exhaust...sure why not.
