DCT Service Required?
All,
Have a M6 GC w/ 58k and looking into getting the DCT fluid/filter changed. Dealer have me the "lifetime oil" speech and a Indy wants to charge quite a bit. Will have DP's and a flash tune shortly (expecting 650whp +/-) My questions: (1): How necessary would you all say that a service is, at my mileage knowing that I use this as a daily. (2): Any knowledge on how many higher mileage cars on here (>50k) have NOT done the service? Any negative impact on clutch longevity. Below is what was quoted from the Indy FYI: "Fluid = $380.00 Filter = $88 Filter = $216 Bolt set = $75 Labor = $485" |

Getting mine done this Friday by my trusted Indy at AR Auto Adrenaline Racing just outside of Portland, OR. It is recommended every 30k miles. I purchased the car at 44k miles and this is I believe the first time it's being done on this car. I'm at 62k mi now.
Breakdown of DCT service from my Indy. Labor $252 Motul DCT Trans Fluid $262.52 AT Filter $112.59 Screw $68.04 AT Oil Pan $216.32 Total $911.38 I'm also having the rear diff service done too. Hope this helps.

Did everything turn out ok? Notice any difference in shifts or smoothness? |
