The sharp Photographers from Autohome have captured the first outside of industry interior photos of the BMW Concept M5.
Here you can see the red-line , DCT with Drivelogic and unique M fixtures such as M Tri-color stitching and textured trim. Acknowledgement to Autohome.com.cn

Is that Alcantra on the doors?
Why? Its not matching the car. Otherwise looks good.

Looks like an alcantra and speed cloth door card, yet leather seats. Interesting. I'm also assuming the Carbon Fiber Leather interior trim will be offered, but this textured silver trim looks nice.

The flash has to be screwing with the materials. I really hope it looks better than this in person, otherwise the CLS63 and E63 interiors will stomp this thing to the ground. I typically prefer the cleanliness of BMW interiors, though, so I'm confident that this is just some terrible camerawork.
For comparison, the new E63's interior. ![]() ![]() ![]() I hope we get some better photos. ![]()

Going by the responses, was the M5 interior suppose to look different than a 5er? I can't remember when an M variant interior was drastically different than the regular model. M3 looks pretty much the same as a 3er coupe, the E60 M5 looked like an E60 5er. Am I missing something or were people actually expecting this M5 to be different? It looks like BMW is doing what BMW usually does, no surprises here - well to me at least.

From the pics it looks like is has a redline near 7500 rpm, not bad for a twin turbo V8 IMO

I really think that this vehicle will be for true die hard enthusiasts and those who are willing to throw down some $$$ to feel better than all the other BMW owners. In my certain location, I know for a fact that the vast majority will fall into the second category. |
