And to be honest, I bet the imola red interior on the e46 was in bigger demand than any with black interior since 90% of them probably had black interior a few years back in the secondary market. Exclusivity raises demand, plain black interior is too common - just my 2 cents. |

I keep going back and forth. I like the Silver, Sapphire black and the Singapore. I had a silver 335i until recently, very easy to take care of, looked great. I've had several black BMW in the past, BMW look great in black as well.
When I first saw the pictures on F30post of the Singapore Grey I was sure that was going to be the one. What has complicated the decision is my Porsche. I bought a 991 Agate grey with black interior and while the car drives great, I'm not in love with the color. It isn't as dark as Singapore appears to be, seems more lifeless, but I have not seen SG in person. Silver seems like a safe bet, so does black. The shots of the SG with sakhir really looked great....so tough, so tough.....lol |

Check the Official E90 M3 Silverstone thread. The posts starting at #7 will give you an idea of how much the color can change based on lighting; the ones before #7 have all been seriously Photoshopped: http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=110972.

Thank you so much for the link. I remember seeing a M3 sedan in that color, or something very similar and thought how stunning it looked. |

I like moonstone and singapore with black interior. I don't understand the love for the sakhir interior. I think its cheesy, but buy what you want.

The ceramic breaks are gold not blue. Standard breaks are blue. This changes things.

And to expand on the rotor being slightly nicked, they're sufficiently fragile that if you do go to the track and kick up a piece of debris on an off-track excursion that nicks your rotor, or a rotor gets nicked while removing a wheel, you'll need to replace it and possibly the rotor on the other side of that axle. Part costs haven't been announced, but on the Porsche side a single carbon ceramic rotor is $4K, which is why even some track people have switched back to steel.

You can go with Silverstone. That's a LOT lighter and has a substantial amount of blue in it. If you just want a lighter gray, that's Space Gray.

+1. Silverstone has a lot of life to it depending on the lighting. In very sunny bright days it looks more silver and on darker days it gets more blue/green. Definitely more interesting a color than regular silver
