Another comparo loss for a new BMW. C&D also picked the Camaro ZL1 convert over the M6 convert. What's the world coming to?

The panamera looks a whole lot different in real life (in a good way IMO) especially the GTS, I have seen them driving around and mayun they are kinda stunning. But as the whole appearance goes, the M5 wins hand down even though I think the rear is kinda dull.

And the fact that there is artificial noise going in to a performance saloon is completely unacceptable.

I took euro delivery of my M5. The steering is very assistive natured but still awesome. I think the problem is the toys... the man of today wants the toys (navi, power seat, power everything...etc...) and that all adds up in weight. So put no assist on steering and you have a piece of dead wood or a car that's too heavy. Get rid of all the toys and then you would hear some real complaining! lol. I believe the M5 is a perfect blend of the two worlds (sport feel and comfort) and you can't get the best of both worlds no matter how hard you try. I love every inch of the new M5. Even the guy in the video obviously was leaning toward the pana and couldn't keep quiet about how much he loved the 5er.

You lucky b******

I've never driven either one, but I think that a car with RWD should do way better than the M5 does.

Panas are hideous creations that only a mother could love.
No launch, and if you see how much dust and loose material there is on the road is it any wonder that the GTS with AWD killed it off the line. Looks like it was staged to make the GTS look better off the line

Wolbimmer is selling his F10 M5 after only 600miles. Keeping the Panamera GTS. Crazy.

The M5 has haydraulic steering so surprised to hear about the steering feel. Is it just overboostes/assisted?
Doesn't the m5 have electric power steering?

That was such an inane review. Each paragraph says that the M6 blows away the Camaro (shocker, I know), then in the final sentence sums up that the Camaro is cheap, so it wins.

I actually think the entire episode is useless. Scion vs Porsche? I guess there's nothing useful left to write about. :

People are complaining that they should have used a Turbo S (which costs $60000 more) just because the Porsche lost the drag race lol. Apparently the M5 can walk the Panamera Turbo S from a roll while nearly matching its lap at the Nurburgring. For the price, the M5 is doing very well. And the C&D review of ZL1 Vs M6 was bogus. Had a huge laugh at that one.

This has been discussed before. Guess who endorses C&D? Audi. And earlier in the same issue, they test an M6 (which has the same exact steering and suspension components) and praise the car. Something is fishy. Perhaps the Audi earned the win, but something isn't consistent. I'm still looking for an M5 to drive, as well as a CLS63/E63

They should have compared the M5 to the Panamera Turbo or the Turbo S. The M5 would have lost the drag race.

I just can't get behind the Audi. Nice car but the acceleration is so lacking. It isn't a thrilling ride. Handling is go kart tight, but honestly the M5 is way more fun (and scary)

The ///M5 is rack & pinion while the F10 528/535/550 is electric.

Can some owners comment on the "issue" with the steering?
Not heavy enough? Not enough feedback?

This is a BMW forum last I checked here.... Why wouldn't u get respsonses like that here?.... hopefully a little more mature.

I'm sure the thread over a Panamera forum is just as biased.

Panny Turbo S is nearly 2X the price. Not really fair. I think the Turbo would be roughly comparable other than from the dig. Around a tight track, the AWD would give it an edge, but for highway storming, I think they'd be close.

I was on the list for the Panamera and wanted to love it, but it felt a tad too big for my tastes--- not that the F10 is compact. I also like the 5-series stealth factor.
