RPi GTM, Eisenmann Race (Full) or Meisterschaft?
Hi Guys,
have couple of weeks to think on which exhaust is better to get and i can see that a lot of people complaint on the drone in range of 1500-1900rpm with GTS exhaust. I wonder if anyone experiences drone with E-race, GTM or Meisterschaft ? also i had E-race on my e90 m3, i just loved the sound, i know its impossible to have a similar tune on twin-turbo, but which one from your opinion would be same nice and louder? thnx |

I had the rpi gts:: no drone. I now have the Rpi gtm full straight pipe: no drone in my car. I have not heard of anyone state they had any drone using the gts.

Dave at first bought the gt (no resonators). I have the gts (w res). That is why. Doesn't matter it's minor. The gtm is extremely great inside the car once broken in and you'll really like it if you buy it. You will also like the meister shaft.

I think that the only way of having the loudest M5 now is dumps right off the turbos. LOL

The Hartge exhaust is quieter than the RPi GTM because the Hartge design is an axleback system. The Turner Motorsports design follows the Hartge design and is also an axleback system. The RPi GTM was specifically designed to maximize airflow and power generation from the downpipes back. Due to the fack that the GTM has no resonators, it will have drone, but a lot of people like it. I like it because it adds that missing heart and soul feel that the S63tu engine lacks with resonators. Plus the drone is absolutely nothing as bad as the S85 V10 drone.

You would be kidding yourself to thing you will have no drone with an RPI GTM. Highly doubt you will have ZERO drone with ANY aftermarket exhaust. year after year, model after model people have this discussion. People convince themselves they have no drone while others with the exact same exhaust complain about it. This applies to both full and axle-back systems. The thing is that people buy these exhausts because they want noise. With noise comes the drone. You get a little less with some and more with others. You want noise-you learn to love it. Otherwise stick with stock.

my problem is that i have heard most of the exhausts on m5's except for Rpi... so i can judge RPi only by vids and i like mostly, so i am 99.9% sure i am going for GTM |
