DEQ inpesction with catless DPs?
This question is for those of you with catless DPs. Apart from the CEL, how do you pass emmisions testing with no cats?
I assume most areas require once a year testing. Is there an electronic fix or do you install OEM DPs for emission test? I would think it would be quite obvious to the DEQ test folks that a "new" car smells like it has no cats. I know there are catted DPs. I am just curious what the catless folks do...

They read the ODB here in Texas so if you have an emission error it will be there unless you have a device for clearing it. I opted for high flow dps with 400 cell cats it's expensive but they were worth 21hp and more sound. My SA told me he has a guy with an M3 that pays round trip to put on stock for inspection and then take them off. |

in CA only cars past 5 years old need to get tested -- and you can always pay one of the testing shops off.
in FL there is no emissions testing.

Those are $3000 with the cats, I considered them first. They cannot guarantee that there won't be CEL but there are users who have them and have not had a CEL. I bought the Noelle because its' certain there won't be a CEL and they are OEM.

Pretty well now that it has all had time to mesh together. I am looking forward to a little cooler weather for getting in some good quarter mile runs. I have some data posted on other threads from Vbox runs. I am happy with how the car is set up now. It sounds really good and runs as well as it sounds.

I'm thinking this is the likely option I will go with.
