So this fuel is fine for our cars to be used on an on-going basis? That's a lot of power for adding fuel!

I heard from a little birdie u put more the the 30% mix! You cant use more than a 50/50 mix max. I heard 60/40 is the sweet spot. (the 40 being the E85)

If you mix in too much, what actually happens to your car?

Pure E85 is corrosive to our fueling system because it lacks the lubrication aspect of gasoline. You also need more of it to achieve the same amount of power compared to gasoline. It does however have the engines running much cooler and prevents detonation which enables the engine to add more timing and make more power. Hence why the mix works so well because you get the best of both worlds. BTW E85 makes a lot more torque down low so beware of tranny issues if youre making wayy too much power

I'm using a Zex wet kit, very straight forward just a shot when I push my throttle down bcos I install a mini Sw below my gas paddle. I have not try it with methanol which I plan to do it tomo. Jets going into the charge pipe side by side with meth nozzle.

Can't get the NOS work with meth, discovered the nos not spraying due to some wiring connection issue. Need to go bk to the workshop to Chk on the wiring on Monday.
Overall with 30% of E85 the car run very strong! Would be better with 40%, haven't try it yet. Everytime need to finish the tank of gas b4 going to the next test eg vp109....... Constantly running 6.4sec (279m) with just E20 to keep the AFR in the very safe range 1st, should be faster with more. Very sure the last time the NOS didnt spray fully, should have more from there......need to try out LOL,,,,,, Last edited by Andym3100k; 05-02-2015 at 08:11 PM.. |
