Cool! Wish I had known about these before. How's it handle driving on dry surfaces?

going UP beacon hill is also not a smart idea. zero control with unplowed roads. my 3 year old has more control on skis

Frankly surprised about the dry grip in cold weather, needs some adjusting after the PSS u can feel the flex in corners but ultimate grip is good. Better dry handling than the sottozero and X-Ice.... More compliant ride than the PSS.

Nice! Yeah the Michelin Pilot Alpins do ok in the snow, not the best, they definitely keep you from getting stuck, but boy are they fantastic on dry pavement. They perform nearly as well as the PSS do on dry surfaces with the exception of being able to have enough traction for the insane amount of torque the M5 produces, especially when going full throttle. Still the studded tires would be some very nice peace of mind of knowing you are not going to get stuck no matter what.

Curious what PSI do you run? My dealer installed them with 34 PSI and I found they flexed quite a bit. I checked Nokian's website and they recommend +3 PSI over summer tires. I've been running 37 PSI all winter and they feel a lot better.

sottos are terrible in wet conditions especially snow. Either use blizzaks, Alpins, or mothball the car for the winter. the number of stranded cars on the road are too damn high
