MIR test-and-tune Nov 10,17,24
Hoping some of you are able to make it out to Maryland International Raceway over the next few Sundays. I plan on being there tomorrow Sunday, November 10.

Today I ran into a nice group from Rockville,MD—two brothers and another guy who’s a service writer at Rockville MileOne BMW. They were racing a new F90 Competition M5 with less than 2000 miles. I saw their time slip from their first race and they almost got into the 10s! They ran a 11.07sec at 126+mph. Me (#874) (Race 1) 11.78sec at 120.72mph (Race 2) 11.66sec at 120.94mph

Today it was overcast with air temperatures between 48-50F. Matt was at MIR again with his new White F90 M5 Competition Edition. Since last Sunday, his M5 has been tuned (JB4) and new carbon fiber cold air intakes installed. I didn’t have the chance to asked him if he did the upgrades himself or where he had the work done. But apparently after several runs he still was close, but not dipping into the 10s. Unfortunately, he now is dealing with error codes when he launches hard. My first two runs were made in bypass mode (no tune) doing the following which seems to reduce spin and axel hop for me at this track:
Me (#145) (Race 1) 11.63sec 122.66mph (Race 2) 11.68sec 121.90mph (Race 3) xx.xxsec xxx.xx stopped race, spun with axel hop (Race 4) 12.70 sec 120.01mph spun with axel hop after 60’ WRONG ORDER: The attachment has the last two runs in the wrong order; order is 1,2,4,3.
