It's *intentionally* non-intuitive (hint: it has to do with the three levers below the start switch) so you can't accidentally turn on your lights in a combat zone. You have to *really* want to turn the lights on.

That being said? Driving a blacked out HumVee in the dark, on a moonless night, at a pretty good speed, in the middle of a desert? With Night Vision Goggles on?

More fun than you'd think.

I don't think the Squeak did, but I sort of remember the White Rocket needing one? It's been over 30 years since UPT and there are fair few jets in my brain between now and then.

At least, starting engines on a multi-place jet (w/ or w/o an FE) needs a few steps to get things going-- it's not intuitively obvious.

I don't think Joe Bag-o-doughnuts is going to jump into a Guppy and fire it up without a little help.

Although there IS a key!
