Well on St. Patrick's day in uptown Charlotte just outside the crowded area there was an Aston Martin that passed me whike driving around 45 mph in a speed that made me feel I was not moving!! At least 90 mph and for at least a mile or more and probably passed 100 mph because he was gone in a few seconds !! Must be connected or ? |

I very much doubt they were obeying the speed limit...In addition...if there is slow moving traffic at 10mph Im willing to put my neck out and say that even going at 30 mpg is not appropriate in those conditions...
The traffic on a typical night in Knightbridge rarely reaches 30 mph.. Dont get me wrong...I am no saint when it comes to driving, however I drive fast where in my mind as a driver, it is safe to do so...Looking at that video............ |

Bit of a narrow minded response there yungdro... I'm all for speed but right place, right time. Not really for a busy pedestrianised city street... Clearly that was more than 30mph, so not sure where your 'to the SPEED LIMIT' comes from...?
Nice sounds tho! |

And, they clearly didn't obey the speed limit... Why do you think that the speedo is blurred in one of the shots? That aside. Great sounds and that shift crack at 0:16 reminded me of a 2013 F1 engine during shifts |

Yeah there's no way that hot blonde girl would be with that guy without that Aventador.

The Lambo doesn't have a lot of speed, certainly no more than the M5 does in similarly congested areas. The only real difference is that the Lambo crashes with a car that doesn't obey the traffic code (he has to yield to the traffic, but decides to drive out in front of the Lambo. Misjudging the Lambo's speed probably. The same could easily have happened in several places the M5 drives fast as well... BTW, it seems the Lambo manages to come to a complete stop in a distance of around 20-30m after the impact (judging distance by using the length of the parked cars). In a full on emergency brake situation that distance equates to around 50-60km/h speed at the point of impact (assuming full emergency braking from the moment of impact). The only real difference between the two videos as far as I can see is that the Lambo has someone pull out in front of him, and the M5's don't... Last edited by Boss330; 04-01-2014 at 10:01 AM.. |

I was not going to comment further on this BUT I will. My Nephew was 20 years old and was out for the night in London with his mates, it was about 9 pm and he stepped out between two cars in the west end, the car that killed him was doing about 70 MPH (make withheld) in a 30 Zone. The car failed to stop and was chased and stopped further down the road. It turns out the driver was an off duty policeman Pissed. End of sad story. Thats why speeding in those areas to me is F**king madness.

Uhm, no. But exceeding the posted limit is SPEEDING and you expressly stated that they were not speeding. Look at the speedo closely in the video: he routinely exceeds 60 and often comes close to 80. So, based on your definition of speeding - 90mph - I guess he was not speeding.

Both people are pathetic, but can't say the aventador did anything wrong besides not driving defensively. |
