How often do you wash your car? (winter with lots of snow)
Hello,
I was wondering how often do you guys wash your car. I live in North East and it snows a lot here. Unfortunately, I can't wash my car in my apartment parking lot.. so I have to take my car out to wash if I want to. Since there are snow everywhere with salt, there is really no point of taking the car out for wash... (It will get dirty again when I come home..) How do you guys wash your car? Thank you |

Automatic car wash. Not ideal... But in the winter months it's just about keeping it half decent....since it'll just get filthy again...

Depends on how cooperative the weather is. I make sure it has several coats of wax prior to going into the winter - I generally wash and wax it each weekend for about 4-5 weeks prior. The I will wash and wax it when I can on weekends, but I am usually skiing so that doesn't happen so much. Of course, when there is snow or significant amounts of salt, she stays in the garage anyway.

In winter, I only clean the car when there is no more slush on the road, mainly packed snow or nothing can really splash up too much, you will find yoru car last longer after a wash during those days, I find those self high pressure wash are good for winter cleaning, just high presure soap and rinse it, nothing more, when it warms up again, I will do a real wash.
