What's taking so long
Ordered car June 25 and got production week 28.
Got the vin a few days after June 25th and checked the BMW vin decoder as per the below. Production date 2016-07-12. Been checking W&W logistics and still no car in their system. My car is heading to Halifax and pretty easily I was able to find two other cars heading to Halifax with a production date after mine 2016-07-20 and 2016-07-25 that have already been booked and received at the terminal. There's a ship (Porgy) leaving today that will be in Halifax by the 22nd this month, the next one leaves on the 23rd and gets to Halifax on September 5 Is this normal?

I thought that since the diff issue was between May 12 and July 4th and mine was after that I would be fine. I also checked the affected vins and couldn't find my car. I'll check now with my sales guy but getting the feeling I might be affected.

I don't think we have the genius guys here in Canada. I've called BMW Canada to get updates on the order but all they usually say is still in production. Pretty useless. Apart from that updates come from my sales guy. Could I call the genius in the U.S. and provide him with my vin and info....would be he able to help even though I'm calling from Canada?

Also, side note, but what did you end up doing? Waiting for yours or did you go for something else?

Called BMW genius and unfortunately they can't see Canadian cars. Got transferred to Canada client relations and they provide the same answer...in production. It's been in production for a month now WTF. Still waiting to hear back from my sales guy...
