Had dinner at a restaurant then went to a soccer game. After the game got back into the car, started it, put in reverse and released the break.
As I started to roll back the engine died. Tried to restart it and the starter would crank but the engine wouldn't turn over??? Literally tried for the next 5 minutes trying to turn off the car and restart with no success. I finally tried shutting every thing down and locking the car with the fob. After all the electronics were out I unlocked it, got in and the engine turned over with no issues. What could have caused this? Did I shift into reverse and drop the break too fast?? Why would a reset of the Ecu fix this? I assume that's what did it? Thanks. |

Sounds like the software problem. You did nothing wrong. I haven't experienced this issue yet. Hope this is only one time.

Bring the car into the dealer.. you would think an issue like that (and repeated attempts at turning it over) would register a fault for diagnosis. Make sure you mention how it occurred to your SA.
Have you tried to reproduce it? By replicating what you did the first time it happened? Give it a shot.. and if you can then the dealer has to fix or replace it. |

[/QUOTE] it happened to me too , i'm from singapore. Couldnt start for 5mins and i suspected it was the car HD camera taking too much battery power. As previously i parked the car for 1week.
Shut down everything lock the car and it could start after 5mins. Thank god if not i have to tow the car from a underground carpark lolz. |

That happened to me a while back. I pulled out of a parking space and it died so I sat there in the parking lot blocking everyone. The 2013 model I have yet to find the e-brake release. (It's not under the cup holders like 2012 models)
So I was stuck there for 45 minutes.. then sat outside for a while and went back in to turn it on and it worked. Then tow truck arrived. I took it to the dealer and they said they updated the software. No problems since.
