Will the 344M wheels fit the F10 M5?
I'm considering a second set of wheels for the M5 and since I like the stock 19" on the M5, and no aftermarket supplier seems to be inclined to make a 19" wheel that fits, perhaps the 344M wheel on the F13 M6 might fit? Does anyone know the answer to that? They are 1/2" wider front and rear, but if the offset allows I think they'd look good on the M5. I've an email in to GetBMWparts.com and hope they will know for sure.

While I don't know for sure, they should fit. Much like the E60/E63, the F10/F13 have the same drivetrain. The E60/E63 had wheels that are interchangeable other than a slight difference in offset.

Thanks all for your input, and while I am pretty sure they will bolt on, it's the offset that will determine the fit. Most likely it will take mounting a set to see for sure. I was hoping someone might have already tried that.

I've been told that the specs for the 2013 M6 wheels are:
front width: 9.5" rear width: 10.5" front offset: 31mm rear offset: 19mm With the 2013 M5 wheels being: front width: 9" rear width: 10" front offset: 32mm rear offset: 34mm I'd think the fronts should fit with no problem, but the rears would be .85" farther out with the .25" from the extra rim width and the .6" less offset. Likely some fender contact with that change. Also, the M6 wheels are about $400 per wheel more expensive than the M5, but listed as forged by BMW and so would probably be lighter as well. I don't have much experience with wheel fitment, so any thoughts welcome. |
