M5 Grill Badge
I've noticed in the new M6 photos that BMW has gone back to using M grill badges. Anyone know if this oldie but goodie will translate to the 2013 M5 and other M vehicles?

Should be an easy enough add on. Im sure you can buy small M5 badges on Ebay - and as ghetto as it sounds on a $100k car, u could probably just superglue it and not tell the difference if you like it that much. Or maybe this will be the 2013 LCI!

Interesting you ask that. If I were to get an M6, my first mod would be removing that grille badge, as I think it distracts from the front fascia and looks tacky, like the owner is starved for attention and needs to announce that he/she has an M6.
You may also have sizing difficulties because the grille design is different between the 5 and 6. The 5 has single spikes at evenly spaced intervals, whereas the M6 has double spikes with the PAIRS at evenly spaced intervals; the M6 badge slots between two spikes that form a double.

Agreed. We were discussing this at the Austin event on Saturday, and it really does mess with the aesthetic of the car (but to each, his own I guess). They should have at least separated the badge from the grill, because for the M6 it seems to be integrated into the slats, and by consequence, the entire kidney.
On another related topic, that M550d badge... what a mouthful!
