Was it not lighted on the E60? It was lighted on my E39, but I had the SMG on both my E60s. Would be surprised to hear BMW reverted to an unlit shifter on the E60.

Just curious on the M5 MT6, how does the engine on/off system work? When does it kick in? Would it be the same as in the DCT when the car is completely stopped or when the shift is put in Neutral?
