New M5 has ARS?
I don't see any mentions of Active Roll Stabilization in any new BMW's anymore.
Does they go away or they are standard now so do not get mentioned? Last edited by sle39lvr; 05-20-2012 at 06:41 PM.. |

Why would a non-convertible car have active rollbars?

My mistake.
ARS : Active Roll Stabilization. Stabilizer Roll bars that change electronically. Starting with Bangle 7, they were in 7's and 5's. I am wondering why they didn't make to M5's |

the EDC make the car lay in the curve. I would say it surely helps preventing roll.
The car can be thrown in every turn at any speed, it has a low gravity point and is excellent. You rather have a strong understeering if you dont his the gas pedal or start some oversteering if you know when and how strong to push it (Disabled DSC of course) |

I don't think that prior M5s ever had ARS.
In terms of other models, it's still available in the 7er and the 5er (as part of the dynamic handling package). |

Plus the X5. It works well. But I've read EDC allows more feel, important in an ///M.
