+1 I was excited BMW was already offering the proper solution to rid of those large shiny side gills. Regardless, the car looks great (other than the side skirts). I really like frozen silver on the F10

The only M performance parts are the sideskirt decales and the rear spoiler. The M5 & M6 have the same sideskirts and rear bumpers as the M packages ones. Only the diffuser is different. The reason is because the rear fenders of the M cars are not wider. In the M3 is is different, as the rear quarter panels are the wider, an all new rear bumper can be designed.

The ///m5 trunk badge looks horrible..
If you can afford the car why paint the badge like that. Buy nice black ones lol

What I don't get is why don't the side gills have an option (at no cost) to have the black side gills/kidney grill just like they do for the window exterior trim?

They are OEM, part of the BMW Performance Line listed under the 5-series F10. However they will only work if you do not have the laser guided CC and the little thingie on the grill.
