Love the C63 BS just wish it would have had the TT v8 engine instead, especially for the price.. Easier tuning potential.. Nice comparo.

Ratio. 5 gear over 300 km/h, 6th teoretical over 400 km/h... Over 150 km/h the m5 pulls so Hard up to 300 km/h ( German highways) that the c 63 isnt hardly visible Good Video below, that seems about correct to my own experiance Last edited by m-ch; 01-12-2013 at 03:21 PM.. |

M5 holds the torque well past MB...wicked feat!
But yeah, down low, MB is a monster full of torque.

Interesting, last time I was at eas a stock 2013 m6 dynoed in at at 505whp while my e63 m6 and 2 others came in around 450-465 whp. Your numbers look off the chart given the median number for that motor on that dyno....

MB has more torque but BMW has more Horsepower. The torque amount of torque is only good off the line if you can put it to the ground without breaking traction. The horsepower on the other hand is what will count as the speeds rise.
As for BMW vs MB the BMW is still more fun to drive then MB any day. The MB philosophy has always been to make luxury German Muscle cars. I can understand that philosophy and even like it to some extent. However, I prefer BMW approach of power without control is nothing attitude. As for DTM you can cut it which ever way you want by making excuses for Audi and MB loss. Bottom line is BMW came back as the new kid on block and kicked ass to win the DTM. Quote:

I think I was 1 of 5 other F10's that were dyno'd stock at EAS. My number was the highest but there was one in the 520's and another right at 530 hp so I know my number was not an anomaly for this exact dyno.
I saw the M6 number too---- It was a launch edition car from what I was told (if that means anything) and it was shockingly low.
