Just ordered my F10 M5 last week. Have been given an estimated delivery in June. This is because I ordered carbon ceramic discs and piano black trim.
Was given 7% discount. My spec is as follows: Alpine White Full Sakhir Orange Piano Black Trim Carbon Ceramic Brakes 20 in Wheels M Sport seats soft close doors power boot BMW professional hifi reverse camera surround view cameras comfort windscreen heat reflective sun glass June seems a long way away... Can't wait to drive it! |

I also have just ordered my M5, with a few options, I was originally quoted end of March, however my dealership (Fairfield BMW Southend On Sea) have just emailed me to tell me to expect the vehicle the end of April.
Apparently: "being such a unique vehicle they only have certain production dates, being a specialised car, this could well come forward". Ho hum... |

Ocean BMW Devon just emailed saying that they have managed to secure a week 11 build slot, so I should see my car by the end of March! So I think you will also see you car March/April.
Did you spec the B&O sound system? I decided not too, as the professional logic 7 in my 750i is superb and thought the money better spent on the CCB. I keep reading that along with the noise of the engine being pumped through the speakers, the only real fault is the extra weight and the trouble the brakes have coping. I do like the idea of reduced unsprung weight and long life CCB. As soon as I complete the 1200 mile running in, the car is going straight on a European road trip, to take in the Autobahns, Nuremberg ring, Ascari in Southern Spain etc. Honestly couldn't think of a better suited car for continent cruising and as a track weapon. I would be interested if you both would share you final colour/leather/trim and options as this was a source of weeks of deliberation! Cheers. |

Ive just sorted a deal on a new M5, will be putting a deposit down in a few days. I had a 14% discount off the car, the optional extras and the service pack. I had it on the 0% apr deal over 48 months.

Hi chaps,
Long time lurker was wondering if you could give me any pointers on how you guys have achieved these discounts? Is there a particular dealer that is head and shoulders above the rest in offering these prices? The 0% deal is tempting and these levels of discount are ridiculous compared with when we were car shopping last or BMW are desperate to shift Ms! |

I was probably lucky.
Got a November 2012 built with 6 miles on clock and registered 28th December 2012 for 20% off list. Delivered to me in early Feb. Silverstone with black and with the right spec. In fact it was the exact spec i would have done. Only snag was could not take advantage of the 0% finance deal BMW are offering. But the huge saving makes up. |

Hi Chaps,
I managed around 15% discount, on a MCB , physical car, March 13, that had virtually the spec i wanted. Also got the 0% finance offer, i just couldnt turn it down. The car as a complete package, performance, quality, usability and cost, is absolutely top notch. As a comparison, a similarly priced new GT-R, would have been £200 a month dearer, because of the BMW finance deal. No brainer for me, regards, SIMON. |

What I did was to phone five dealers and be honest: I said I was looking for a discount of multiple thousands beyond what I could see on the website. One was a flat no, two didn't call back, one engaged but said it would be a maximum of a grand to avoid missing the deal. The fifth entered a dialogue and we met at a total discount to list/options/service of 14%. There are enough dealers out there, with enough need to do business, that you don't need to worry about offending them.

Thanks folks very useful bargaining info, hopefully test drive one soon and see if it would suit us as a car itself as we've never dabbled with this level of performance before and wonder if such a car is wasted on us, especially if its used as daily driver/mway mile muncher rather than a car to drive for the sake of driving, no matter how good the deal!
