Yes. And it's prob. not just one particular setting but several across perhaps several modules.
I would like to read the entire SVT tree from a Euro spec'ed F10 LCI with the LED package and compare to a US spec'ed equivalent to see (any) differences. Found one owner in the UK who has the right car/ option and knows about coding but he refused to help. |

Well then I would PM users with the LED option and ask if they are interested in helping.
I realize the options vary based on region, but it's a start. Some members may not even realize they have that feature. |

I have it but it would shut both highs down (or at least it looked like that from inside the car. Not one at a time or parts of the beam. May get coded diff once the car hits state side. On my build sheet it says "no dazzle decoding". I used the high beam assist all the time. I want to get it coded to be on by default.

I am a bit confused here when you say "no dazzle decoding" do you mean turning off the feature that makes the High beam adapt to oncoming cars or people walking along side of the road?

@stealth.pilot: Thanks! And I am glad you joined the conversation. I know you just picked-up your second ///M5 with ED (congrats!!!). Did you use the Anti Dazzle feature while there? If you car turns up state side and the feature is disabled, we will know it's just software. I can't imagine they'd be making any changes to the physical (and final) build of the car before shipping it to the USA since you already took delivery.
@infamousq: you understood it right. The Anti-Dazzle feature is removed for US-bound cars as per region specs constraints. Last edited by v12; 11-01-2013 at 10:22 AM.. Reason: typo |

the anti-dazzle does not work on US spec cars while on ED. I hoped for and checked for this when picking up my own 2014.
I too will be very happy if you crack this and am willing to help if needed.

@V12 the auto high beam on my car behaved the same as it does in the US during my ED trip. None of the sophisticated stuff in the video above. However it was programmed to US specs - e.g. no rear DRLs either.

B-1 Pilot:Thank you. Interesting... I was under the impression they let you use the car on European software specs while there and reprogrammed it before shipping or after arriving at the port in the US.
Then did you have European navigation data while there? Your checking on it and comment makes me lean towards a hardware limitation then... @stealth.pilot:Thanks for confirming also. Right, the rear DRLs have been turned off since sometime in 2012 (due to a harmonization of the way DRL works in the European Union: front only). I routinely turn them back on via coding (for safety and aesthetics reasons). |
