In which conditions can an awd car be better than a rwd car if you have the proper tires?
From my experience it's more the driver capabillity than the car's. Driving summers in cold conditions it's a nonsense. Even with awd. |

I did drive it in snow with PSS, it just didn't work. No matter how careful you manage the throttle input, it will slide and even spin out if you turn too fast. Not a good idea to try this on public road~

The last test I saw had a car with winter tires going 30mph, it took 27m (90ft) for it to stop. The same car with summer tires stopped in 85m (280ft)! When the car with summer tires passed the point where the winter tire car had stopped, it was still doing 25mph.. Please don't ever drive on snow/ice with summer tires, doesn't matter what car you've got. |

Summer tires in the summer, winter tires in the winter. So-called allseasons aren't any good in any season....
The M5 wil be an ok winter car if fitted with decent winter tires; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3EVzY...e_gdata_player
