B and O sound system

Just wondering everyone's thoughts on this upgrade. Thinking about ordering 2014 M5 and wondering if this sound system is really worth it. Besides better speakers over stock Is it adding more speakers?

Thank you

I listened to the F10 M5 both with and without the Bang & Olufsen speakers and I have to say I would 100% order it with them. Makes a world of a difference imo.

Takes some tweaking. At first listen it's not terribly impressive but once dialed in it's worth every penny.

Hey man, that's cool. Sometimes it's hard to find these old threads and things come up more than once on this forum all the time. He's an old thread that may help you.

I started that other thread and got the B & O. It's great, though not as good as the Burmeister in the Panamera.

Only if you start to hear a rattle. If you ask them to do an SIB like the B&O without having the issue they won't perform the labor. Also you don't want people taking stuff apart when it doesn't need to.

New cars off the like shouldn't have this issue. After an SIB is put out, it should be applied to all new cars coming off the line thereafter.

You lost me... That's part of the appeal of the car. Should we be ordering the cars with radio and A/C delete and carbon fiber seats with 5 point harnesses?

LOL - yes you should. Look into the rear seat delete option also. It's combinable with the roll cage in the track package - ZTP.

I'm getting the ZTP in my next M5. Can't wait to feel what a 600lb reduction in weight will feel like without the back seats and carbon fiber all over the place.

Go spend an hour sitting in a GTR with base BOSE (and I think bose is shit), and then sit in the $3700 b&o there is a difference, but its worth maybe $800-2000 NOT $3700 lol. I like it, I love the speakers and the lights, but $3700 it is not.

That price equates to half the cost of a single 802D B&W speaker lmao...NOT WORTH IT.

This is advice coming from someone that would spend $15,000 on a car upgrade stereo option if it was available.

Ha too funny I found the same too. I listen to talk radio, and when I'm doing some sport driving I turn off the music so I can hear the car. When the wife is in the car she prefers to talk ....yes talk. So for some audiophiles they may need it for me I would never use it.
